Animal and Vegetable Lard, 4m x 6.6m x 3cm

The work Blue Clouds is specifically created for the gallery space, both responding to the gallery environment and challenging the expectations of what can be achieved with unexpected but everyday materials.

The work is made out of coloured animal and vegetable lard assembled on the floor to create an artificial sky and cloud space within the gallery. The natural light in the gallery filtered through the lard sky creating a beautiful, uplifting experience for the visitor while also astounding them by using a material normally found in the fridge.
